Want to know how to limit access to a new HDD

I just put second HDD on my comp and I am wantig to keep the kids from filling this one up with their junk, I want to keep it all to myself.

My question is this: How do I restrict the other users on my computer, access to this other HDD?

Which operating system? If it's XP Pro you can set user rights on it so only you can access root (and thus anything in the tree).

In XP Home, if you right-click on the slave drive in My Computer and click Properties, there's a Quota tab where you can set limits on others' access to the drive. This should work if they're logged on to the machine in a name other than yours.

or get an external drive. just disconnect it and hide it from them when you're not using it.
