I have a 2tb HDD as my second drive in my system, the drive is my D: drive and want to switch it out for an SSD. I tried to do that by copying and pasting files from the HDD to the SSD and I assumed Windows would just let me remove the letter D from the HDD and assign it to the SSD which it wouldnt let me do. I then deleted everything off of the SSD and tried to reformat to start from scratch but Windows made it a Pagefile drive and now I cant format it.
So I have a couple of questions:
Does the drive NEED to be reformatted again? I did format it before attempting the copy/paste initially
What is the right way to make the SSD my D: drive? I want Steam and all the other programs to be able to work without having to give them another path to a different letter drive. Maybe I have to clone the D: drive?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
