I am wanting to paint the outside of my pc case. I would like to paint it to be a Dr. Pepper case. Of course my pc is already built. ( i built it) Does this mean that I have to take everything out ie. motherboard and all to paint my case?

I did a very rough digital painting in photoshop to see basically how it would look and what i wanted. here is a link to the original case then the painted case.

How would i go about preparing to paint? and how would i go about painting it?

i like DR PEPPER:D:D:D but dont ruin ur cool computer:( if ur going to paint somthing on it get scarlette johanson airbrushed on the side:D she is freekin hot!

I would just get a Dr. Pepper Decal (not a sticker), it would looks just like you painted the Dr. Pepper logo onto it....you can get them made at decal shops. IMO that would look best

If you REALLY wanted to, you could probably tape up the inlets, power supply, and such then just paint the case, but I would SERIOUSLY discourage this. Besides possibly screwing something up, it'd probably look like crap.

What I do when I paint cases is take them totally apart. Remove the buttons, lights, plastic, anything possible. "RED" actually had removable panels so it was easy to paint without tearing the rest of the computer apart.

I guess with some computers, you could remove all the outer panels and be fine, but that all depends on your case.

Nah, it would look best professionally taped and spray brushed, I saw a tutorial on how to do flames on a case that would be a similar technique.

Or, just print the logo on some card stock and stencil it. I think painting would look better than a decal.
