Hey guys and gals,
I just bought a PB278Q. After it shipped a read a review which said the warranty only covered 1 year dead pixel replacement but the dell version was three. I am not fimiliar with monitors (have a Mac) so what is the chance there will be dead pixels after a year? I just assumed since my Mac is fine after 4 years my monitor would last as long. What are your thoughts?

It varies. Most cases I've seen there haven't been any dead pixels, but I've only fiddled around with about 6 1-year-old LCD monitors. I've also had 4-year-old LCDs that have no dead pixels.
 
Is there any way to easily fix a pixel? I would imagine not but you never know. Is the only way getting a new monitor?
