wat happens if i set the voltage to high for my AMD Athlon 64 3800? at the moment its at 1.4V. will it damage it? and my memory is corsiar PC2-6400 rated voltage is 1.9V, its at 2V. is it ok to increase the voltage any more?
Think of it this way, the more voltage you give your components, the hotter they get, thus making there life shorter, what is your RAM's default voltage, I wouldn't push it to 2v if it was something like 1.7 in the first place, but if it was only 1.8 @ stock you should be alright, I seriously don't recommend going over 2v though whatever your stock voltage is

I would recommend leaving voltages at stock levels for all components. If you overclock, aim not to go higher than 1.55V on the A64. The memory should not need that much more juice. +0.1V is just fine. However, if you are not overclocking it would be worthless. Setting the voltage too high would destroy your components in the longer term or could lead to generating extra heat and other such problems.
