is it possible to copy the video in the DVD rom onto your PC and view it without the DVD ? and what program do u recomment to convert a DATfile to better quaility ?

no you can't, to read a DVD in your computer you need a DVD rom or rewriter, if you haven't got any of them you can get a DVD rewriter cheaply nowadays

Do you mean copy the DVD using a CD drive to your computer, then watching it? Or copying a DVD to your computer using a DVD drive, but copying it to the hard drive so you dont have to use the DVD while watching it?

that suggests to me that you have a DVD rom but want to use it for something elses and still watch the DVD by copying it to the HDD.

Its perfectly possible, i have quite a lot of DVD movies on my HDD at the moment. With the right codecs you can watch it in Windows media player. I personally use Cyberlink Powerdvd at the moment as the controls are a little better for DVD watching

Omega got wat im trying to say.. copy a DVD rom on my harddisk .. and watch it without the rom on my drive
