watching cable on LCD monitor

New Member
I have 2 situation.

First, I would like to hook my cable box to my computer and be able to watch tv on a LCD monitor and also be able to switch back to computing.

What do guys/gals recommend I should do in my situation?

Second, I have an E-machine that is like 10 years old. I mostly surf the next, and watch movie, either on dvd or youtube..

What kind computer should I get for my current situation.

I'm new to the computer world. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate the advice. Thanks
 
Buy a TV tuner, which would require a separate video card and not on board so your processor doesnt do all the work. Requirements for a TV tuner arent that high, look em up!

If you look around there's also some External TV tuners that plug to USB so you don't have to install them in your computer.
