Water cooling question/ My intro

Hey, so to start off, im new here and im 17 getting ready to go to college for computer engineering and i have recently gotton into building computers, for a grad. gift from the parents i want cash to buy parts so i can build my first amazing computer.

thanks to wikipedia and sites alike, i have; in the last month or so; learned so much stuff about computers, with all that knowledge comes, well, more questions. well, i was thinking of cooling for my computer and i want to have an SLI graphic set up, and the motherboard im looking at (but will definatly be out dated by then) has a pre-instaled water block for the chipset, and i was thinking i want to liquid cool both GPU's, my CPU, and utilize the "free" chipset water block and possibly even cool my HDD with liquid. well my question is:

Is there some sort of external(or internal for that matter) water system that either has:
A). multiple IN/OUT slots for different hoses to lead to different water blocks
OR
B). A sort of "Multitap" port/system to kind of branch off multiple hoses to different water blocks

i say this beacause, well it would suck to have to have like 5 or 6 seperate pumps. i have certain goals i would like to acheive with this build, multiple fall into the cooling catagory.

Thanks for any help and i look forward to my further involvment on This forum.

You really don't want to do either. What you do is set it up in a chain. It would go something like:

Resevoir --- Pump --- CPU --- GPU1 --- GPU2 --- Chipset --- HDD --- Resevoir

Thats basically what you would do. With all of those components you're going to need a strong pump. Only 1, but a strong one.

I basically did the same thing over summer that you are doing now. I'm 17 and built a computer for college next year. Everyone on this site is really helpful, so just ask away. I'm going into aerospace engineering, but I have an interest in computer engineering/science. Where do you want to go to school?

oh, so like, on the out port on the cpu water block, i would take the hose to the first GPU? and then so on? what pumps are strong enough?

Yea, this computer will be my first and then many more from then on, i got accepted into purdue (west laffeyette IN) on saturday. i was sooo happy. where are you going to, or at?

Thats sick. I got into Embry Riddle, which is where I would really like to go, UCF and Florida Institute of Technology. I also applied to UF, Appalachian State, and somewhere else, I forgot. But I don't find out about those till February.

Here are a couple. I dont know what kind of budget you're one though. Just google "water cooling" and you will get some pretty good hits.

I hope you're not buying that mobo just because it have a pre-installed chipset block

What is the budget for the WC???
What are the PC parts you're getting???

no no, im buying the mobo because its amazing, set aside the fact its got a pre installed w.b.

uhh, well the over all budjet for the build will *hopefully* be around 6 thousand to 7 thousand dollars. yes i know thats alot, but this computer is going to be insane. thanks to GSAV55 for showing me that website and i did some shopping around and found some new parts, like ram liquid cooling! this computer is gunna have all the new stuff, or at least for the month while the stuff is still "new" it will. my parts list is building, im learning and preparing all i can now because i wont get the money till grad, so around june. but think the future equivilents to q9560 (right #'s?) cpu(thats 1200 bucks), asus maximus extreme mobo, 1 TB HDD, 8 gb ram, liquid cooling, HD screen, bule ray DVD burner and player, Full liquid cooling system, 2 nvidia 8800's, supreme sound card and amazing speakers, 900w psu (or higher if needed) more and more add ons continue including software. i have goals, like trying to get all my parts ( cpu, vga, hdd, ram, etc) under like 25c under mild stress, and even lower on idle, the case is the apevia jupiter type g black. i like the design but i have been thinking about the thermaltake amour one because of the cooling possibilities it provides. i also want to run prime 95 on this comp. and try to find a new number, but thats more of a dream. so yes, there is my budjet and the nutshell of parts.

and i saw the pumps on the site GSAV55 provided, but i noticed they were internal, those would also require a radiator and resivor no? and what about external systems, are those strong enough? how do they compare to internal? do they provide radiators and resivoirs in them? also, is my price(the 6-7k) a lttle high? or is it reasonable for what i want?

sorry for all the questions and long paragraphs but ill soon learn this forum's eticate (sp?) as post more. Thanks.

xxxalpinexxx80- dude that mobo is off the hook. but its only got ddr2 ram, and i know the asus maximum extreme is not sli ready but their knew board will be. but 4 water blocks! man, whats the fourth for? nb, sb, cpu and whats the rectangular one for? what chip is that?

- What is the budget just for water cooling???
- So you're WC every part possable???
- I'd love to show you a WC system that is right for you
(try to break up questions with - )

scratch that*
i don't think thermo-electric is for me, ive heard that i wont see much of a difference in temp. compared to a LCS. but, when i find a mobo i like, that is SLI ready, i will have 3 GPU's, rather than a measly 2...pssh 2......lol

so, say i have this to cool:

4 Water Block's on the mobo(like evga's 680i)
3 GPU water blocks
3 VGA memory water blocks (if available for the 8800 series)
4 HDD Water Block's
2 RAM coolers

-Assuming all that is going to be there and ready to be cooled, should 1 reservoir, and 1 double 120mm fan radiator, and say....2 pumps do it?
or
-would i need a triple fan radiator and some other supplies, like 2 radiators, and 3 pumps?

thanks guys

tripple fan 1 good 1/2 pump, but i wouldnt spend that much on the computer, in a few month it will feel like you wont be able to run new games comming out, like crysis a single 8800gts 640 can just make it on very high for me and it felt like i brought the card yesterday still

what? i dont get what you said....

and the reason for all this.....cooling.... is because i have goals outside of just bad ass performance... tehehehe.
