Water cooling

OMEGA - You have some nice components there.

Im using just plain distilled water at the moment, but if i were you i would get some anti corrosion agent, because the stock GTX has a copper base and aluminum top i believe ! This can cause corrosion unfortunatly, although you can get a copper top for it too.

When are you setting it up, dont forget some pictures :)
Will do, I'll probably make a DIY guide, haha.

I'm not going to rush it though, most likely I will assemble everything and run it for quite a while outside of the PC until I make sure that everything is working right and there are no leaks. I don't plan to actually install it until I upgrade to a newer motherboard, since it's a pain to remove everything only to assemble it back together again.

Yeh i leak tested the stuff on my floor a couple of times. then i put it all in my PC and leak tested it with an old power supply. Curiosity got the better of me and i started to run my pc and play some games after about 2 hours of leak testing, isnt the best idea, but it hasnt leaked yet :) (touch wood)

thats why i would never Water cool because i would be scared of it leaking and ruin the expensive components.

however i bet its nice to have some silence eh?

my rig sounds like a jet.....due to cheap Power supply fan :(

Yeh, i can run all of my fans @ 5 V so its basically silent and it still cools realy well, my HDD is realy noisy tho :(

And its not all bad news if it leaked, im using distilled water, and it is very likely that, if leaked on, my compnents would still work fine after a few days drying off because distilled water is not conductive :)

As Taylor said, distilled water doesn't conduct electricity, so even if it leaked it shouldn't cause a problem. Thats why I would test it out on an old piece of electric equipment to make sure it's fine.

I don't know how many times you've said that :P

I was planning on leaving it for around 6 - 10 hours, but i got bored waiting and ended up using the pc after about 2 or 3 hours had passed, i figured, if it hasnt leaked yet, it wont, and luckily , it hasnt :)

I can't speak for him, but I plan on testing it out of the case for at least 2 days, mainly because I don't plan to install it for a while.

2 days is a bit much but what ever works for you

What WC parts are you getting???

It's more then necessary, but I don't plan to install it the first day I get it, so I will let it run for a bit before installing it, which in reality will probably be closer to the 24-36 hour mark, rather then 48 hours.

I bought an Apogee GTX CPU Waterblock, Swiftech 3x 120mm Radiator, MCP655 Pump, Swiftech MCRES Reservoir, Primochill 3/8" ID (5/8" OD) transparent red tubing, 3x ULTRA KAZE 120mm Fans, and a few other misc items such as fasteners and fittings.
