Water or Air Cooling for CPU

I bought two aftermarket Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti G1's

This is the link for the video cards:

My question is, should I go with water cooling or air cooling for the CPU? The CPU is a Skylake 6700K and the case is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro.

Since these aftermarket video cards put hot air into the case, I shouldn't go with water cooling for the CPU?

Also, can you guys recommend me a specific CPU cooler?

air or water will both be affected by the hot air rising from the GPU's, id still go with a watercooler. Something like a corsair h100i or even better a h110i GT if you can fit it into your case. Id mount is an exhaust so it sucks the rising heat from the GPU's away.

How are the G1's in SLI? my old MSI 980Ti's ran into the 80s in SLI, interesting to hear what the G1's are like.

If you built out your own custom water loop you could also incorporate your GPUs into that system as well :D

I don't know how to do a custom water loop.

Do you have a link to a simple guide on how to do it?

Thanks

You need a reference card for custom watercooling, yours is a custom PCB so the EK blocks wont fit. They are making blocks for the G1 but it could be a while (atleast a few months)

This also means any EVGA hybrid coolers wont fit. Watercooling is not difficult at all but you need a general knowledge of what to do. It can be/ is expensive over the cost of the components.

If you wanted to watercool the cards you would need reference cards that allow waterblocks like EVGA without loosing warranty. EK do make many custom waterblocks but due to them being custom it takes them a while over reference to be released.

Guys, after testing one of my GTX 980 Ti G1's with my new Acer XB270HU monitor on Tomb Raider (2013), i'm getting over 140 fps average on my older computer (still haven't built the new Skylake one because the processor and the CPU cooler hasn't arrived).

Should I keep my second G1 or sell it?
