Watercooling

Hey,

I am interested in watercooling, but I am not sure what I would need. My current PC is quite loud and gets quite hot, plus I like to keep my computer on overnight and it keeps me awake.

I have a standard case (No fancy gaming case or anything like that) so it would have to be a external solution. Plus my motherboard is just a standard 939 mobo, but I might be upgrading to a am2 mobo.

It would be good if I could get it to cool my hd as well as I have noticed that it does get quite hot.

Also how simple is it to install and what could go wrong (Because water+electrical components don't mix xD)?

Last question, what kind of price range am I looking at (GBP £)

For a basic person like yourslef, i'd look at something like Alphacool (about £100 fora 120mm rad set) However, with the water, yes it CAN damage electrical components, buy you can buy coolants that don't conduct electricity. Also, if you are careful, nothing should go wrong.

I'd recommend a Zalman Reserator1 V2 if you don't plan on overclocking. Very cool solution, it is external and is practically noise-less.

Edit: This costs around £170 from Scan / OCUK etc.
 
build your own custom setup. its not hard and theres only 8 or so parts. here is a list, all from a US store in USD , but the point is it will show you what you need to be looking for. and just use distilled water with some corrosion and algae prevention solution
