Wattage question

I have a question about a laptop powercord.
If the laptop came with a 65 watt power cord and the manufacturer offers a 65 watt or a 90 watt -- can you explain to me the difference?

I usnderstand that it means more power...right? But is there any dangers or harms in getting a higher wattage cord?

well if the manufacturer offers it then there is no danger. Typically when the computer is running the battery will charge much slower but if you buy a bigger power brick it will charge faster. It should charge faster even if the computer isn't running too.
