Way to get a PSU running without hooking it up to Mobo?

So in case you haven't read, I have just modded a case that I am going to use as my case. I can hook the fans up to my power supply through molex or something connectors. But my dad also has this old 200watt PSU that is kinda flat so I can put it into my case, but I am old it won't work unless it's hooked up to the motherboard. Anyway to get around this?

paper clip between the green wire, and a black wire(if i remember correctly)
