WD External Hard Drive malfunction?

Simply put, the hard drive has a constant flashing light at the front. It isn't being recognized on any computer. The exact hard drive I have is the WD My Book Essential 500gb.

What are my options here? I guess the most obvious one is to send it to WD but is there anything I could do to fix it?
 
Yeah. It gives me the same thing.

It doesn't need to be connected to the computer to give me the flashing light. The power button doesn't seem to do anything either.
