WD HDD Exchange...Will This Work?

Hi,
I just had to exchange a faulty HDD with Western Digital and they’re sending me a replacement Model # WD1600YS. Their website says these are designed for server use and RAID configurations. My question is this….can this be used as a primary boot disk for Windows? I needed a new drive for XP and this is what they’re sending me. I sure would appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks!

Sure you could use that HDD to install XP on, would be no problem at all.

That's one of the real WD drives, the RE. That's 100 times better than any Caviar SE and will definitely work, not to mention it will be far more reliable.
