when comparing the 36gb, 74gb, and 150gb, are they all the same in terms of speed, noise, or other specs (except capacity) or are there differences in platter density, noise, etc...

i know that the new velociraptor faster, has higher capacity, and has denser platters but i just cant afford one of those right now :[

With the ADFD drives (<- in reference to the end denotation of the drive model), the number of platters, and thus data density, is the same with the 36gb and 74Gb drives; Which is to say they both operate on a single large platter. The 150gb operate on two smaller platters, relatively slower, greater overhead. All I know on the matter.
