Weak mouse

Hey, recently i have been getting this problem where when i move the mouse up and down it is alot weaker and does not respond correctly then moving left and right. It just suddenly happend and i have tried using 2 mouses and they both do the same. When i move up or down the cursor sometimes stops and i have to bang the mouse to get it moving again. but with left and right it works fine?

Is this a ball mouse? Try reinstalling the video drivers

Also, please provide the specs of your compouter

If it is a wireless mouse, change the batteries.
If it is a ball mouse pop the ball out and clean the inside of the mouse.
If it is an optical mouse give the bottom of it a clean.

None of those make any difference, he said that two mice did the same thing

sounds like a problem with the ps2 port to me. you could always try increasing the polling rate in the mouse options hardware tab in the control panel.
If its always done this its probably because they are cheap mice; ive found that moving a cheap mouse too fast will make the movement erratic.
If its an optical mouse try moving it to a surface where the pattern is different

Did you turn the computer off and back on? Sometimes it just does strange things like that
