Not really. The ram will take the speed and timings of the slowest set of ram. You might need to set the speed and timings manually in order to bring the specs back up to what the dominators are at.

but i thought that i'd might aswell just delete this thread (i couldn't figure out how lol) and post one about the ram in the ram section haha

i'm not fussed if the dominators run at the slower speed, i more concerned that they will both actually funtion togther (not the smartest person over here)

No problem. :)

I use 2 different sets of ram and I had a lot of BSOD's but I set the timings and speed manually and that fixed the problem for me.
 
well i think both run at 9-9-9-24 so does that mean i don't have to manually change the timings? i hope so :D

so if i do get bsods, does that mean that the timings are not the same? so then all i needa do is change them to 9-9-9-24 and then the bsods should stop?
