web design / flash work

gonna put together a site.. using frontpage and what not i use photoshop for all my graphics wanna play with some flash and cool shit what you all think about flash mx? any other programs i will need to put together something good over time? should i mess with java at all ?

Well I personally use Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 to put together sites and Flash 8 by Macromedia also. Those are the programs I'm learning in my web101 class at college. They're very simple to use so you can try those if you want.

i say avoid flash and java at all times if nessisary. it looks tacky. prevents bookmarking for some implementations. huge load times when too big. you can use them if you are making an application. don't use them for design layout.
