Web server...

So I normally had my web server for my website setup like so,

Internet>modem>router>router>server.

But recently Ive moved and now I need to set it up like this,

Internet>modem>router>computer>server.

I have messed about with crossover cables and internet options enough to be able to access the internet from the server. But I cant connect to my web server at all from within or outside the network.

I can ping my webserver perfectly (Although it might be the modem responding, not my server) if that matters.

Can anyone help me get my webserver back up so people can come to my website again?

I have my ports forwarded from the modem to the router, and from the router to the computer, do I have to forward them from the computer to the server? (Is that even possible?!)

Oh, and I have windows xp on both.

My router uses IP address' in the 192.168.2.X range. And the only way I got internet on the server was to make its ip 192.168.0.2, gateway and dns 192.168.0.1 (the ip of the computer is 192.168.0.1, the other NIC on the computer (connected to the router) is 192.168.2.6.

Ive tried changing the ip's of the computer and server but I must be doing something wrong. Help? :)

Ok, so here goes a better explanation. Internet works,
Server:
Ip:192.168.0.2
Subnet:255.255.255.0
Gateway:192.168.0.1
DNS:192.168.0.1

Computer:
Ip:192.168.0.1
Subnet:255.255.255.0

In order to forward ports, I have to change the IP's, but if I do that, the server loses internet,
Server:
Ip:192.168.2.7
Subnet:255.255.255.0
Gateway:192.168.2.16
DNS:192.168.2.16

Computer:
Ip:192.168.2.16
Subnet:255.255.255.0

And to make everything even more clear, the IP of the second NIC on the computer (the computer connected to the router) is,
Ip:192.168.2.6
Subnet:255.255.255.0
Gateway:192.168.2.1
DNS:192.168.2.1

Can anyone figure this out now?

Its against my religion to use the edit button.

That was my last resort, perhaps another guru on the forums knows whats going on before I start moving stuff though.

Thanks for all the help, after a bunch more googling it just seems its not possible. Oh well. Ive moved the server and now am back in business. I should probably put a link in my signature to my site.

its a very confused question, first,u should check out whether the problem with ur hardware.if so,turn veryting into normal, and next step is to check out whether the problem with ur OS system,it should be very easy to do it.maybe something set wrong.check it online,it has a lots of answer.go check on www.google.com.use ur brain, and u will find the way.
