webcam and microphone

Somebody wants to interview me by MS TEAMS. So I purchased a webcam - the camera is working but not the microphone.
Operating system is windows 10 32 bit
The machine is old HP with a microphone socket on the front - this is not a pink socket
In permissions they are are to ON to use a microphone
But Computer says NO INPUT DEVICES - even when right click in recording tab and say SHOW DISABLED devices
All computer shows is my nvidea card?

online tests detect no microphone
How do I solve this?
 
Which camera exactly? Did you install the drivers? Try another USB port.

Go to Device Manager and see if there are any Yellow Bang symbols indicating malfunctioning or misconfigured / missing drivers on any devices.
 
The camera is in a usb port and works. The microphone in a 3.5mm socket. Only yellow triangle is in a universal controller. Camera has no name on box
