Website blocking software?

I don't have very much willpower regarding not coming on the Internet. I could really do with a piece of (ideally free or trial) software that allows blocking yourself from websites. I already had something like this a while ago, but it was easy to unblock them again using my password. Are there any out there that let you choose a certain amount of time (2 weeks, a month) etc. and do not let you back on, using a password or anything until the time is up? This is what I could really do with, because I need to stay off the Internet for at least 2 weeks.

Is there any software like this available? Replies appreciated.

Parental Software, there are some good ones out there.

What is your OS???

Also why do you want to kick yourself of the net for two weeks???

OS is Windows ME.

I want to kick myself off the net because I have an important work project and I need to dedicate almost all of my time to it. The Internet will distract me, I just know it.

Will the parental controls stop me getting to the websites?

Thanks

Oh, old OS, right.... just disconnect the internet :P

And yes parental controls will stop you from getting to websites.

I can't disconnect the Internet, other members of the family use it! Besides, I need some websites and email for my project. :)

Will the parental controls stop me from 'unblocking' the sites for an allocated amount of time also? Because if it's simply password protected I may get tempted and unblock them before the time is up. Would you recommend any in particular?

I'm not sure of any.... and not sure of some of the features.... so someone else will need to help you....

SELF-DISCIPLINE!

Obviously you're a little short on that. Grab yourself by the neck and simply don't go to sites you don't need to go to. You really need to learn some self-discipline, in the long run that's the best way to go, even though this may sound like a Captain Obvious- type of an answer.

Get someone to insert the password. (cat/dog get them to step on the keyboard) if it's like a time thing.

Lock the room the computer is in + have a family member keep the key. Sleep in the living room if it's your room
