Former employee put a password on the HP Pavilion 23-b010 all in one pc running windows 8.1. we do not have the reset disc. We don't care about the files on that computer, is there anyway to bypass the password or reset it maybe using the cmd? we need the use of this computer, we have tried everything, even tried to overwrite the OS with windows 7, just so we can use the pc again. but when we tried this, the keyboard and mouse will not work to continue to install the windows. Any Ideas? As always thanks for your help!

This is not the right forum if you are looking to bypass security to gain access to a system.

You will need to contact the network admin to help you as we can't offer any assistance for this. Basically you need to access the system recovery partition to reinstall windows 8.1.

as I said, I am not wanting to save any files, that should tell you that I am not trying to hack a system. This is our company's computer that an x employee has put a password on. One would think that as long as I have been coming here, that I wouldn't receive a response like that.

It's against the forum rules on how to bypass a user's password. Like I said before, boot to the recovery partition and reinstall windows or Google search what you want to accomplish. Lots of Information out there.
