Weird computer problem

Hi, I have a fujitsu computere(specs below) which is about 6 months old if that. I have had no problems with it up til now. when i turned it on this morning it took about 15 minutes to go from the Welcome message to the desktop and a further 10 minutes to load the desktop. i have all services disabled by default(apart from microsoft ones) and it usualy loads the whole thing in about 1 minute or less. I am using it now but thats after waiting about 30 minutes. Also the computer loads in the basic windows theme and wont let me change it to the default aero or any other theme(they are greyed out). And when i tried to connect to the internet it said it couldnt start the remote connection manager, so i had to start this service manually, but it should have already started manually as it usually does. I havent made any hardware changes and the only software change is a dll called wkcolorfix which is a color fix for worms armageddon game. Any thoughts on this strange problem?

Specs:
Windows 7 X64
Intel Dual core 2.7ghz
2gb Ram
Onboard video and sound

Try doing a system restore back to yesterday to see if that fixes the issue.

unfortunatly system restore was disabled by default and i never got around to enabling it so there are no restore points available. AVG antivirus hasnt picked up any viruses either.

Im guessing i should remove the selected malware, what should i do with the hijackthis log?

Yes, remove it with the MBAM, and John will check the HJT log and give you further instructions.

yes, let malwarebytes remove whatever it finds. Did you click on remove selected button?

Also rerun hijackthis and place a check next to this entry.

O1 - Hosts: 63.146.124.21 cod4master.activision.com

then click on fix checked.

You have avg installed so I would uninstall the mcafee security scan.

Edit, Also have hijackthis fix these entries.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exe"

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [DAEMON Tools Lite] "C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -autorun

You also have a lot of toolbars enabled. They slow up loading your browser dramatically. I would recommend to uninstall any that you don't really use.

Everything should be ok now. Reboot your computer and continue to use it and let us know if you are still having issues.

so can you narrow it down to one thing that caused it or a few things? the codmaster4 thing was for call of duty 4 online game which i play regulary so hopefully it wasnt that.

The only definate thing I can tell you at this point is that your issue isn't malware related if it still happens as you are clean. Thats why i said to continue using your machine and let us know if the issue is still there.

yep still the same issue after reboot so i will elaborate more.

On starting the machine it works like normal, then after the windows logo(which hangs for about 2 minutes) i get a black screen with the cursor visable(and moveable). Then after about 5 minutes i get the welcome screen which hangs for about another 5 mins and i then get the desktop. But i cant do anything as it appears to be loading a lot of things, the LED on the front stays on constantly and i cant do anything til that goes out(after about 10 minutes). There are no procvesses running that never used to be there. When the desktop does load i get 2 error messages.

1.Cannot load the remote access connection manager service:
error 711: the operation could not be finished because it could not start the remote access connection manager service in time. So i open the services and try to enable it manually, but it wont work, popping up the same error. Its only after 3 or 4 times trying that it works.

2.an error about notifications, the screenshot didnt capture it so i dont have details on it.

I have opened the case and looked for dust and loose cables, everything seems to be fine. I then tried to remove the DVD drive but that didnt solve it. Didnt want to remove ram until i ruled out software issues. One thing to note once when i started it the CPU fan started like it was a car revving its engine and kept up that intermittent speed until i turned it off. Then when i restarted it it worked fine.

Then I would uninstall anything that you have installed lately that may be causing the issue and reboot and see what happens. It seems something is stalling at bootup causing the slowdown. What brand of printer do you have installed?

Have you looked in event viewer to see what might be stalling the rest of the bootup procedure?

i have uninstalled everything i dont use, whether old or new. I dont have a printer installed. those drivers are what was left after running a friends printer a few months ago.

I have tried several times to get into the event viewer. The first time i try it says the service hasnt started, so i have to manually start event log service. Then when i try to restart event viewer again it wont start. I do get a microsoft management console process that starts running in the background(mmc.exe) but nothing happens.

Also everything seems to freeze and hang very easily, if i switch windows too fast or even just opening the start menu.

Looks like your headed to repair or reinstall your operating system. Don't know what else to suggest.
