Why am I getting cookies like this;

cookie:slattery@medifast1 text document

and why can't I delete them? There are only 4 that I can't delete. I've downloaded CCleaner and still doesn't get rid of them. Worried that they are spyware or something else and no, no "bad" site cookies. HELP!

Did you try to boot up in safe mode to clear them? or close IE... Some times they wont delete if they are in use by another program or IE... Safe mode is the best way to clear them that I have found out.

Tried....

I tried deleting them in Safe Mode and did not work. Also tried using CCleaner in Safe mode and no go. Shut down and restarted computer after each time trying to see if they would clear and nothing. I'm stuck.

cookies are for eating!!!

It may be more than you want to mess with, but have you tried going into REGEDIT? I really hesitate to mention this though, its really easy to REALLY mess things up in there. But its the only way I ever got all the Norton Trial pack off my Dell. Norton stinks, its hooks go really deep.

But I hate going in there, even to look. But if I wasnt scared to death of messing with REGEDIT then there would have to be something wrong with me.

Are you familiar with how to use REGEDIT to perform tasks like this? If not, then for god sakes dont learn by doing.

That won't work, normal files cannot be found in REGEDIT, that only works for installed programs.

Try booting from a live distro and delete them from there, windows won't be able to stop you.
