Weird Problem

I ve got a Sony DVD RW DW-U54A (+) and the strangest thing happens with some BENQ dvd rw (8x). I use 2x for writing btw. What happens is that, i burn the (data) dvd, everything comes out fine. The burn is complete. (using Nero). Before i remove the dvd from the drive, the data on it is fine, i can view the pictures or videos burned, even run the applications. When i remove the disc from the drive though, and put it back in the dvd can not be read and sometimes is read as a blank disc!! This is really strange anyone who can help or has an idea why this happens??
 
Could be youre media... Are they R disks or RW? I know there's one type of disk that burns flawlessly on my NEC, but then it won't read them at all(actually makes me reset the drive, external and all) but it works fine in all other drives)
 
Ok problem update: I just found out that it reads most of the dvds ive burned (before this problem occured) but there are some that used to read and now doesnt! This is really weird... but if it was a hardware problem, why would it not read only a few of the dvds it used to???
 
OK i tried cleaning the lens with a lens cleaner cd but it did nothing (as usuall). What i died was cleaned the lens with a qtip and a bit of alcohol and now it works fine... The lens was dirty after all but i couldn`t tell because the cd rom cleaners are quite useless - at least when owning a laptop, and the lens is accessable just by opening the tray... thx to all those who tried to help
