hey guys im new on here.

anyways i have a problem with my laptop. ive owned my laptop for about 2 years now and never had any problems. but now my laptop will make this little wining noise from inside and then my laptop will go very very slow. when i check the percentage of the cpu, it says 100. the only way to get rid of this is to restart my computer. this typically happens to me 3-5 times a day.

can anyone help?

By any chance do you have an anti-virus program that is trying to run, and consequently will keep trying to run each time you restart the computer??

If this problem occurs again, go to task manager (right click task bar and select task manager) When task manager opens click the processes tab and click the column Memory twice, so that it orders them most memory usage first. The have a look at the top 3 process names and memory usage and post them back to me if you could please, this will help me evaluate the problem a bit more.

It seems there a program running and consuming all your cpu's power (hence the noise coming from the fan turning faster to cool down your cpu). Next time it happens, check in the task manager, under the process tab, which process is taking 100% or your cpu. It might be a virus, or a casual program that's bugging.

2.explorer.exe
3. svchost.exe

Minimum system requirements

* CPU Intel Pentium, 300 MHz
* 30 MB free hard drive space
* 256 MB RAM

what else are you running how much ram do you have?

and how much cpu power is it using?

Go to the task manager and check the cpu usage of each process please, specially the one related to AVG.
