i have a stick of 1gb ddr2 RAM pc5300. my old-ass mobo doesn't support that speed or ddr2 RAM at all, BUT, if i were to put it in the mobo, would it run at whatever speed the mobo would allow? i just dunno.
What make and model is the board? If the model runs only DDR memory that is strictly for 184pin dimms. On some models both DDR 184 and DDR2 240pin dimms can be used. The specifications on the board will state the memory that supported.
