Well, since everyone's modding cases for... Christmastime?

Looks like I'll be modding my case when I have money as well. Right now, I'm getting the materials and then the parts :D I need suggestions on what color(s) I should spray paint it right now. I'm thinking red/black or white/blue or black/white or just a flat black (black goes with everything :P). Any color combination suggestions are appreciated, and they don't have to be black and something.

Green and Silver, Black and silver, blue and black. Green is hard to pull off in a computer though.

Yeah, tried to pull off green and black on paper, looked... ew, I like the black and chrome idea, though. Or did you mean a "flat" silver?

***EDIT***
white and green blue and yellow are few diffrent color comibinations

I mixed it up, lol. I think white and yellow might come out good, I gotta get a notepad! Oh wait... :P

***DOUBLE-EDIT***
What do you guys think of putting in a fan and a clear side panel on the um... side panel?
I was thinking of something like this. Quick sketch, took like a minutes, don't judge, please :P

It would be cool if the whole middle grill was painted white and the sides would be black. Inside should be black and the hard drive and bay clips should be white. Make sure there is a window too.

too maky my computer a christmas theme i just need some 120mm fans with green leds seeing as my case already has red ones :D

I like modding cases to a theme, i might try it in the future.

Lol. Newegg has those R-4's in green LED i think.

Pictures are up, suggestions are welcome. Just letting you know, I'm not planning to do any of the cutting, etc until Christmastime when I have sufficient funds...

First, I'll assume that you are going to leave the floppy port unless you want to take the chance that you can cut that section out and be able to get a multi/reader/USB there without leaving a gap or open space in the bezel. If not I hope that blank right above it will come out.. then I would leave the floppy port there and just utilize the mount above. Problem is where are you going to put the HDD.

There are so many problems here not sure where to start. Is that plate attached with rivets or screws? Either way I would guess that the reason you can only get 60mm in there is because of that plate. If it won't compromise the integrity of the unit I would remove the plate so that I could at least get an 80mm in there. Second problem is that I don't see any standoff positions in there on the case side for the MB. Unless there was a plate that came out of there, mounting a retail MB is going to be a real pain.

That should be fine, although the clearance with the PSU because of its position may make it somewhat ineffective except as an intake fan. You might be better served to put that fan in the lower front portion of the panel. Also, be very careful with your cut here.. the metal liner in that side panel is extremely thin. If you have access to a drill press and hole saw, drill from the metal side with a wood block under the panel.

Here is another place that is going to create a problem. If you retain the stock position (assuming that this plate accepts a standard ATX type PSU and I don't really see any way to change that) it isn't going to leave much space underneath there for the CPU cooler. The only other place to mount another exhaust fan would be in that plate behind the drive bay above the PSU container. Can't tell for sure from the photo but it doesn't look like you will get much more than a 90mm in there. The only other option is to cut in the top for a "blow hole" right above that same plate.

1. I'll probably just plug it up with Bondo or something...
2a. I'm not really sure how I'm going to manage to take the screws or whatever out. They seem like they're "circular" holes. I'll get you a picture when I get my camera back (Mom's of vacation and Dad's not getting another camera).
2b. There are little "built-in" stand-offs or whatever if you look really closely.
3. Yep, and I've already decided I was going to use it as an intake fan.
4. I think I'll just use a "stock" AM2 heatsink and fan. I was thinking of something along the lines of this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835200042 since 2048Megabyte's maybe going to sell his Athlon 64 x2 CPU to me for like $25 (w/o heatsink/fan).
