WEP key not valid, why?

hi guys,

it says my wep key is invalid and i have no idea why as we use it on our current wireless AP's but this new wireless AP doesnt like it atall it says -

The WEP key is invalid: it must be either 10 or 26 characters long (for 64-bit and 128-bit WEP respectively) and contain only digits and the letters A through F.

its 13 characters long and its consists of characters a-u

You can't use 13 digits for wep security, 10 or 26 digits only.

but i dont understand as it does work on all my other wireless access points

Wep isn't that secure anyway. I would suggest using wpa2. Can't explain why you can use 13 digits.

There is a chart on that page of types of security with how many characters are requried.

Most likely your other access points are using different security then wep.
