WEP vs. WPA

As far as wi-fi encryption technology, what's the main difference between the WEP vs. WPA standard? I know that WEP is an older encryption technology that is far less safe.

The FBI has cracked both in under 30 minutes, so neither is really "Secure". WPA is a pain, and gave me trouble setting up with my linksys, WEP just "worked".
