The link you provided seems to explain Sandbox quite well.
Try it, you will be surprised how well it works and quite effective in protecting your computer from malicious programs.

I've been using it since yesterday and think it's a great concept. I don't have issues with virus' myself though.

FYI, though it's tied into the AV, Avast has an auto sandbox. If any suspicious programs are run and detected, it gives you the option to run it in manually or automatically in the sandbox.

If this post is not relevant, please delete it. I have used the free version of sandboxie for over 2 years and am happy with it. There is a 4 second wait time before logon(after the 30 day free trial) but i am used to it. I love the security of a virtual container ie sandbox. It is setup to delete all contents upon closing. I use malwarebytes to scan any other suspicious files before opening and windows defender. My pc has stayed clean for a long time. I don't use any other anti-virus.
