What all does 3Dmark test?

Does 3Dmark test your entire setup? I was just wondering how to make my next system get a better score.


I know I said I was going to take time off of the forum, but I can't, it's so addictive.

Yes, it tests just about all of your system. The only thing that wont change your score is your harddrive. Faster CPU, faster RAM, or a faster video card will all make your score better. By far the video card will make the biggest difference. The CPU might sway the score by a couple hundred points and RAM will do even less but it all helps.
 
With 3dmark05 and 06, the main factor is by far your video card; in 3dmark03, your CPU and video card both are important.
