What anti-virus and/or firewall software to get?

I'm going to need decent security software on the comp when I get round to getting it (shopping list so far in sig).

What software is best for finding and removing viruses, and which piece of software is best as a firewall?

Check out page 1 in the security forum at computing.net.I was recently involved in a few threads there on this very subject.As far as current testing goes, the three best detection rates belong to Kaspersky,F-secure and BitDefender.I have blended in an awesome firewall with all the lastest web blocking features called Kerio with my F-secure.No problems what so ever.
