what the title says. im wondering what 2 x gtx 260 core 216 in sli are comparable to in todays graphics cards. best buy has one on clearance for $140, and i was thinking of getting it to sli with the one i have now, or should i save the 140, sell the one i have and get a different card. if so which one. thanks

It runs between the 5770 and 5830 ATI cards. Oh I just noticed you have one already and want SLI. That makes this a tough choice since I would not buy a gtx260 for a primary card but to up your performance...

I am over the 2 card CF/SLI thing. BFG is out of business and what happens if you hav an issue. I would use the PNY BGF trade in plan and get a gtx470.

i am pretty sure that the gtx 260 is comparible to the 4890 since i own them both and the 4890 benchs about 400 points more than the 260, and the 4890 performs alot better than a 5770, so i would think that the260 is a bit better than a 5770. i would like to stick to nvidia since it seems that i have had better luck with games. they just seem to be smoother than ati. how do i go about a trade up plan? how much will bfggive me towards a new card? would it be better to just sell it for $100-125 and put it towards a 460, or should i get a 470-480 to help last a bit longer? the 260 serves me just fine since i can play most of my games maxed out on 1080p, but i kow that it is getting a little dated and think i should maybe get rid of it before i cant get much for it.

The 4870 more or less competed with the GTX 260 and the 4890 with the GTX 275.

I would sell it and go with a single 5850 or a GTX 470.
