Hello all,

Well, due to enlightenment from another thread, and also what with people having swapped AV programs since the last time I think a post similar to this was made, I was wondering what Anti Virus program you all ran on your home machines?

Also, after voting, if you vote 'other', could you specify which? And also, could you specify if the edition you are using is a free or paid for version?

I usually use AVG, since its free and light on resources. But I havent had it installed for a few months now.

AVG free is free. It is better than Symantec (also known as Norton) But Avast is the best.

BTW, how many of these freakin threads do we need? I think this is number 4 in the past week...

Incorrect, I posted this last week (check the opening post date), and I did search before posting it and found no other threads adequate enough to meet my question. Maybe if one were created and a mod actually stickied it, it would save a lot of time, hastle, and reposts.

Well, it wasn't posted this week and it isnt 'the' 4th. Check the dates :). Just do what I do, if you find more than one thread the same, report it, and don't post in it. If a moderator or admin want's to close it then so be it, go ahead, but they haven't yet. Anyway, on topic, I've moved over from AVG to Avast now due to the amount of people that recommend it highly here over AVG :).

Isn't the detection percentage and protection margin better with Avast in comparison to AVG though? As that's what I've read over these boards in other threads.
