What card would Max out Oblivion?

Hi peeps,

I currently have a Leadtek PX7600GT XT, that just wont overclock.
Also have 1.5GB ram.

Gonna soon get another 512MB to make the amount 2GB:)

I can play the game Oblivion pretty well at 1024 x 768 at max settings.
But want to play on max @ 1280 x 1024 / 1600 x 1050.

Was wondering if a 7900GT/GTX X1900XT / X1900XTX,
Or another 7600GT XT making SLi.

What ones of these cards would play the game at max?:)

didn't someone post a picture of them running oblivion on either 1280 x 1024 or 1600 x 1200 at max settings and they were getting about 60fps in a crowded area. I think they had an X1900XTX.

In the last screen, with multiple enemies, an oblivion eye and foliage on screen this card still pushes +30fps, I'm extremely impressed.

(My overclocked 6800GT do about 5-6fps under these conditions). hehe

Nah the frames was about 28-32 IIRC (pics long gone) which was quite impressive at that particular Oblivion-eye with lots of enemies running arround me. But the performance in that games varies alot depending on what area your in, even with approx the same amount of foliage etc. I run it fine though at 1280x1024 maxed out. My bottleneck is the CPU.

Oh and running FSAA & HDR simultaneously makes for some FPS drops.
 
Fear is similiar to Oblivion. I can run Fear to max with highest resolutions no problem!!

oblivion is very much a different beast when compared to fear; for one there's vast amounts of animated foliage in oblivion
 
big ass outdoor environments compared to small inside areas. My card can run FEAR much better than it can run oblivion, the only time I see more than 60FPS is indoors in oblivion
 
There is one way to MAX OUT obilivion what ever the game is called! when Conroe comes out and 2 7950 cards with 2 gigs of videocards ram and 4 gig ddr2 memory ram. And a Kick@ss mobo. My Future RIG!!:D ANd Ill take a screenshot to prove it!:D

Good luck getting it working! I have heard no one say that two 7950 in SLI will improve performance, let alone get it working stable.
