im jw , since i have an open PCI x1 slot what the hell do i do with it , is ther nething useful with it , tell me what u did so i can put it to some use......... if i can
 
If it's a PCI slot and you want to fill it then you could get a sound card! They fill up a PCI slot and produce great sound if you get a Creative.
 
essentially its for old express cards, its much much much slower than a x16 slot (16x slower - duh) and its not useful at all unless you have a very early 1st gen PCI-Express card
 
well tell me are there ne good things to put in it, b all the card for PCI X1 i dont know what they do, , so is ther nething good to put in to it ????

Video cards were/are made for PCI, so why not PCIe 1x?

Most expansion card slots don't have all that much use anymore because so much stuff is being integrated on the motherboard. You can get all kinds of stuff for them but, unless you need it it's not good. Having anything good to put in is reall subjective
 
I'm afraid putting a card in any of the PCIe x1 slots I have open would block air flow for my GPUs. I'd rather have good air flow then a TV tuner. Besides, thats what my 50" flat panel is for :D
