It may be a dumb question, but I really don't know the answer. So when i'm through building my gaming pc what do I do, Just turn it on and put in the OS Installation Cd and that's it, I need someone to point me in the right direction or a link with descriptive instructions, because I don't want to fry the comp. or anything.

first of all, ur underestimating what kinda of computer u have. it won't fry as long as the heatsink and fan is seated properly with the thermal compound properly applied.

second, make sure that u have ur case speaker plugged in.

Third, make sure no fans are tangled up so they wont turn.

4th, pop in the cd, go to bios, change boot settings to cd first, SAVE, then go ahead with ur bad self.

I would first go into the bios and check the system temperature, voltage and all that good stuff. Disable what you don't need and set the boot order. Then install the OS.

would the computer not automaticly search devices for a boot file?

i thought that the hd would be 1st then cd/dvd drive 2nd automaticly in the bios with a new motherboard!!

I always put the cd drive first, so that if there's an important cd in there, it will read that first rather than boot from the hard drive, which could be corrupted.. but that's just me :P
