What do I need for a desktop?

Hello!

I have no computer knowlege, well some anyway, and I need a desktop!!

I dont need screen, mouse, keyboard ect all I need is the big box of stuff.

So, sorry for sounding so rookie, but what will I need? I am very keen to build my own!

I dont need firewire and all fancy things like that, all I need is;

cd writer/reader
4 or more usb ports
network thingy that u plug for a local network (if you know what i mean)
and all the other important things.
I dont really need too much memory either.

I'd like it reasonably fast, and nice and reliable.

So, could you lovely people compose me a list of everything that I will need!

I'm looking to spend no more than about £200!

you can customize your pc how you would like it and dell build it for you!

If you absolutely have no idea about pc's.. i wouldnt suggest building one yourself.
Better get a Dell indeed, and from hearing you already have a mouse, keyboard and monitor, i assume you already have an old pc.
if that one isnt going to be used anymore, you could use it to make yourself fammilair with pc's a bit more
