What do I need to do?

I tried to install one program but it didn't work on my computer, I wrote to support, so that they could help me how to fix this problem. One of programmers wrote to me "upload the image of your VM to cloud so that I could investigate the problem in detail and say why it doesn't work on your computer"
I don't understand what does VM mean? Google says that VM is a virtual machine. But then I have more questions, what virtual machine do they mean? operating system? but how can I upload my operating system to Cloud? Experienced programmers, please, explain to me what does that mean?

What exactly do you need help with? You don't mention that. You don't want to upload your computer to the "cloud" for all to see. That would be very stupid. It can be done though. I wrote about it on my own forum.

Anyway, please be more specific about your issue. What program?

I wanted you to explain what did that programmer want. Because I am not a programmer, but I don't understand what does rhat mean "to upload VM to cloud"? Is that OS? Or something else?

What he wants you to do is make an exact copy of your computer in the form of an image that can be used with VMware. Then he can use your image like being at your computer to see what the issue is on why the program won't install since he will be using your operating system environment. I wouldn't do this myself. It's like giving someone your whole computer to look around in since this is a direct copy (the image) of your computer. Plus, it could be over 50 GBs and that would take a very long time to upload.

If you can tell use what program you are trying to install maybe we can help.

Wait, are you using VMware right now? Is that where the program won't install?

What support did you write to? Nobody should ever ask you for an entire 1:1 clone, especially when virtual machines don't apply to your desktop.
