Well, if you want such a video card, I'd go with around 400 watts, duel rail, and at least 30 amps total on the 12v rails.

For less clutter, I'd look for ones that have the PCI express connection on them. This way you won't need the converter that uses two molex connections. Also, if you have SATA drives, you might want to be sure it has the power connections for them as well. Both of these are optional, but they do help reduce clutter and sometimes heat as well.

There are two types of ATX power supplies, so you'll have to find what you have. It's either 20pin or 24pin(ATX2.0) Sometimes a 20pin will work on a 24pin motherboard...

Open up your case and get it off of the psu. If you have one of the more "mainstream" computers like dell or hp they seem to have online chat with techs (Who are usually worthless) but they could probably atleast tell you that much if you don't want to open up your computer.

yea i will do that,
but ur right they can be useless sometimes lol , i had a problem with my video decoder for TV and the tech guy took 3 hours of my time trying to solve it without any success then he said he will call me back for solution by he didnt lol

the problem was that Dells software for decoding was a trial and i had to get another decoder software

Cool, there are GT series in the price range as well, which 6800 series has best gamming performance?

I personally would eaither go with the GS, which should be less than 180 USD, or go with the 7800GT, which is around 250USD last time I checked.
