What do I need to watch good quality streaming on notebook.

Hello,

I live very near to the equator where we have recently stopped receiving all TV transmissions from the UK. What I would like to do is get a netbook or notebook and have it hooked up to the TV.

I have tried this fairly successfully but I had a lot of trouble achieving a steady stream which made it infuriating to watch. I was watching it on a free service and I dont know if the quality improves if I was to pay for the service.

Anyway could someone please advise me what I need to get a reliable and fast stream for watching TV normally.

you don't need an amazing graphics card / loads of RAM to STREAM from the net. the most important things are your Internet Connection and where you are streaming from!

You would be better of with a pay site as it will more likely be LEGAL and will give you a better quality stream.

Your internet connection will need to be that of broadband speeds (not dial-up or 3G or the like....trust me, I have tried it!)
