i have a modem in my front room with a router next to it. from the router i have a wire ran to my room through the attic. and i need 2 connections to my room for my box 360 and my computer. i had an extra router that i plugged in and ran 2 more wires to my cp and xbox but for xbox live certain games you have to have an open NAT and the only way to get that is if i plug it straight into my wall, not if its plugged into my extra router. is there anyway to split my one ethernet cable into 2 without running another ethernet cable through my attic??

actually there maybe, the cable has 8 wires inside you only use 4, if you have 2 network connections running through you may get cross talk. There may be an adapter that you would use at bothe ends of your cable to run 2 networks through one cable. google away

Give it a try, only thing you will loose is about 3 inches of lan line. You will need the crimping tool and the ethernet ends. Let us know how it works out.
