One is real, the others not.
Ok let me use a better comparison, why is that some people think that it is alright to watch horror and murder movies with people killing and decapitating each other and every horrible insane act under the sun, and think that is perfectly acceptable, and somehow think that watching an adult movie is bad and immoral. They are both live actors involved.
By the way Im not advocating porn, I just find the inconsistency in some people's values a bit strange.

Again, one is acted out, you KNOW it's all fake throughtout the entire process. The other is totally real. In a horror movie, people don't really die.

In a pr0n movie, people are actually committing sexual acts. It's not fake, there are no digital enhancements or movie effects (well...90% of the time lol)

That's kind of like comparing a real murder to one you saw on a TV show. One is wrong and against the law, the other is entertainment. The government doesn't prosecute actors for pretend murdering people in there films, or pretend raping in there films, or pretend fighting. But if you have a tape of someone ACTUALLY getting murdered, or actually getting raped, or actually getting beat up...that's a totally different story.

If a 13 yr. old kid was caught with pr0n from an officer, it's probably be confisgated. But if that same kid had a rated PG-13 movie, and people were getting there heads blown off and having sex in the movie...the officer probably would jsut disagree with the kids decision to own the movie (if he had any morals) and that would be it.

I think there is a huge difference. I disagree with pr0n altogether, all the pics i have of my GF are "clean" (meaning no private areas are viewable.) But i have no problem with seeing people get killed in a rated R movie, or on TV or whatever. That doesn't phase me at all, it's 100% fake, from beginning to end.

How can you say one is any more real than the other, they are all actors, acting......

You're kind of comparing 2 different types of actors. One type of actor pretty much "pretends" for a living. The other actor, does the real deed for a living. Again, totally different. The only similarity is that they both perform there professions on film/on camera. A movie star isn't a porno star...just because they are both actors/actresses.

A movie star might pretend to rape someone in a movie, does that mean in real life they raped the person? Or off camera they go rape people? Of course not.

A porno star on filem has sexual encounters. Does that mean in real life they are really having sexual encounters. yes, they are.

One is real, one is fake. I can distinguish the two...

Just for the record, I think porn movies are silly, I think they can lead to a disrespect for women if it is something you watch a lot of. But I think adults over 18 should have the right to watch them.
I watch quite a few foreign movies, and some of them contain sex scenes, and as someone over the age of 18, I think I have the right to watch that, it is something that is a part of life, so why shouldnt it be portrayed in movies. And the point I was trying to make, is that I think some of the graphic violence depicted in movies is of far greater concern than sex scenes.
