What do you guys think of this laptop

Hi everyone, :D
I've already got a thread in the laptops section but my original question in that was different so I've made a new thread.

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/product.php?sku=643064&camp_id=ppc_Froogle_search#warrantySection

I've seen this laptop which seems like a pretty good deal, will it be powerful enough to browse the internet and maybe watch the occasional DVD?

Does anyone know of a different laptop thats better value for money than the one I've shown.

Oh yeh it has to be WiFi enabled.

My absolute max budget is £300 and I live in the UK.

I'm feeling a little bamboozled by all the different options and specifications available so any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks. :)

# Intel Celeron M 530 Processor
# (1.73 GHZ. 533 MHz FSB, 1 MB Cache)
# Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium
# 1 GB Memory

That just seems like a bad combo. if all you plan to do is browse the web and the occasional DVD, then take it, just don't expect blazing speed. If you plan for anything more intensive, pass.

Windows Vista and an Intel Celeron M Processor hate each other.

They just don't go together. Unless you have like 4GB of RAM, but even so.

Well, it's a Pentium, so that's better, and a dual-core, so that much nicer:) it's still 1024 MB of RAM - do you know how that's installed (ie: 2 x 512 MB, or 1 x 1024MB)? If the latter, I'd toss in another Gig of RAM and go for it.

Ummm, its something I could always change later right?
But for now I think 1Gb will be enough because all I'm really gonna be doing is browsing the tinterweb, and maybe the occasional movie when I'm on a long car journey.
So 1Gb will be enough for now right?

If referring to the second unit you listed, yes, the RAM is something you can change later. if I had to choose between the two systems, I'd definitely go for the second one.

Thanks for your replies everyone, well appreciated, don't wanna sound soppy but its a great forum is this a good community of people online that give up there own time to give help to people like me :D

Anyways the dual core laptop I've posted above has sold out :(
I'll discuss the situation with the family, and do some more internet searching.

Cheers,
salman
