What Do You Troubleshoot With???

Hello all.

Well I've ran into quite a few problems in the past with a machine I had before this one and I've had a lot of hardware troubleshooting methods suggested to me. I was just wondering what tools there are to troubleshoot / test your computer software wise. I mean I know for RAM there is memtest, but is there anything else for any other components? Do you use anything for troubleshooting one or more components inparticular?

personally at my workplace, i don't test anything. if your Harddrive is fried, fried it will be so we buy another one..lol
