What do you use with image files?

I'm about to install a new program to open and process image files (disk image). I suppose some are better than others. Which do you recommend?

What do you mean "process"? Personally, I like Picasa. It's great to navigate through many images, and it can be used to make small adjustments to images very quickly. I like it because it allows me to adjust brightness/contrast and crop my images for eBay very efficiently. I can go through dozens of images in just a few minutes.

he means disk images, like iso files. just use 7zip, its free and can extract the files from them

As ganzey said, he's referring to ISO/DMG images. For Windows I'm partial to WinRAR, which lets you view the contents of the image and extract parts or all of the data. Mac already had that built in.

I use ISO Creator to create isos directly from CDs(execpt music..) or DVDs(execpt movies..)and after created them i use Magic disk to mount them.
If i just have a file/s or folder/s and want to create a iso with him i use magic iso maker.
All this programs, using portable versions of them, so i can carry them around in a external 2.5" HDD.
