Hey im new here. Im getting a new computer for next year. What are yalls thoughts on this? I am a student and need it to last at least 4 years.

Is there anything i should add? What exactly can you do with bluetooth besides synch it wish a new mouse/keyboard, can it synch wireless to my iphone?

I think it will work at least 4 years
That looks much better than that I'm lookin' for my studio software. Not sure if it's enough for gaming, but for sure it's enough for studying.

How much?
5470 is a bit low end. However, if you not playing game, it would be fine

I'd go Asus for a high end machine like that. Their G-series is really tough to beat.

What's your budget? That one is $1k-ish, right? If you can shell out a bit more, this thing is an amazing deal:

That's got the specs of a fairly high end gaming machine. Same CPU, but the 5870 is several times more powerful than the 5470. It can handle most any game on high settings.

The Dell Studio 15 is a great choice for students. It is a great multi-tasking laptop because of the ample screen, large RAM, and storage capacity. You'll be able to use it for schoolwork and entertainment, and it is light enough for carrying around to class, the library, coffee shops, etc.
