what does "invalid boot.ini file" mean

it says that when im booting my comp.
when it says booting from c/windows underneath that it says "invalid boot.ini file"
what does it mean?

If it's corrupt, simply deleting it should fix it... I beleive 2000 would no longer boot, but XP will recreate a basic boot.ini and work fine. Hehe, I can double check this later if you'd like, just PM me I got tester machines at home I don't mind doing this stuff with.
